Job was one of the most notable men in the East. Yet, the largest part of this bible story takes place with him sitting atop a muckheap, entangled in a heavy discussion with his fundamentalist friends. He is pointed, sneered, and shouted at but he defends his right to think for himself and stands up to each and everyone of them all. Freedom is the most valuable thing a man can own. In 1990, these fourteen paintings, painted for the edition Job were exhibited in Frankfurt under the title 'Das Bilderbuch verlässt das Kinderzimmer' ( The Picture Book Leaves The Playroom'). The series themed ‘Job' has not as yet been published.
